Thanks to Adam (ex Muffin man and Web Diva) for the new site…
So thanks for coming to the ‘Live and Loud Bar’ all you Christmassy Tykes, if you didn’t make it we’ll forgive you this time.
The first gig was a lot of fun and a fine time to try out the tracks we’d been arranging for the last 6 months. Those tracks hadn’t been danced to for a long time and I couldn’t help wondering what Barry would have thought. I’m sure he was turning in his grave. Still, the CD is recorded and two tracks are mixed (you can hear them on myspace thanks to Alistair (the man putting the engine in Engineer and the Pregnant in Pregnant Dad). We are all living together under one roof (worryingly similar situation to what the 1980 Mr Kamikaze’s did before the shit hit the proverbial) and getting along fine, doing more music than you could shake a stick at and worshipping the Klone.
We’re working on some more tracks at the moment listening to the tapes and jamming along with them, the feel is fresh and the grooves are popping like corn in a hot pan.
So watch this space for approaching gigs and CD information… and soon, when I’ve got the facts altogether (I’m currently researching the unsavoury history of Mr Kamikaze Mk 1 and unearthing some quite unsavoury information, I’ll post a message about this stuff with some interviews of those involved for you guys to admire….)
